Located in Marquette along 1st Street, this large through girder bridge is the 27th crossing of Bloody Run.
Built in 1928 to replace an older bridge, this structure consists of three through plate girder spans, located on a large curve. As a result, the geometry of these spans is such that they run at a heavy skew. The bridge rests on concrete substructures.
These spans follow a standard design for the time, with rounded edges and heavy girders.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good to fair condition, with minor deterioration. However, a fair amount of corrosion in early stages was found.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
